9/11/10

1. Is reported that the situation changed because the refugees in the camps felt discontent. One of the reasons was, although the food area aplenty but the queue line was too long and took too much time.

2. The development in Maguwo stadium and bigger refugee camps are not so pleasant due to the inability of Satkorlak to handle the situation properly.

3. Most of the refugees chooses to go out and look for new refugee camps themselves, most stayed in front of the houses of people in the villages near jogja.

4. This has made giving services and relief difficult.

5. The incident caused some social unrest, the villagers felt uneasy because everyday they have to supply the runaway refugees from government camps. Most of the villagers do not have the capability to help the refugees.

6. For the wandering refugees Team GKI Jogja changed the strategy and started to supply the abandoned groups. In which it also helped the uneasy villagers. The action was done selectively.

Gratefully, the refugees in the GKI camps stayed, probably because of the better coordinated and systematic services being given. (Paulus Lie).
