7/12/10

1. Fulfilling the request of the Ephorus Sinode GKPM, Rev. P. Simanjuntak through the letter dated on 20 November 2010, GKI-Humanitarian responded by sending in GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III

2. GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III consist of 8 doctors and 7 volunteers:

h. Dr. Lady Simbolon (UKI)

i. Fransisca Katopo (GKI Delima)

j. Samuel Akely (GKI Samanhudi)

k. Sudiyanti (GKI Sumbawa Dua)

l. Hartini (GKI Palsigunung)

3. GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III arrived in Padang 7/12/10 and arrived in Sikakap 8/12/10.

8/12/10

1. GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III carried aid to Sikakap in the form of:

a. 750 Holly bible

b. 30 emergency tents 6 x 8 m for emergency church.

c. 100 TGKI attributes (shirt, vest, caps).

d. Medicines for health services in refugee camps.

e. 840 biblical children’s books.

f. 40 pcs of Christian magazines.

g. 240 pcs of Saat Teduh.

2. In 8/12/10 GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III in lieu with the healtcare preparations coordinated with several parties, which are:

a. GKPM Synod,

b. Kodim,

c. BNPB,

d. Puskesmas,

e. Local Government.

3. GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III also collected data by visiting the refugees in Nemnemleleu to identify the indications of illness in the refugee camps, so that they can prepare the medicinal needs.

4. In the evening GKI-Humanitarian Mentawai III conducted an evaluation and reflection led by Dr. Johanes. Biblical reading was taken from es 43 : 4 (Jusak Ismanto).

Jogja

7/12/10

1. GKI-Humanitarian Jogja accompanied the refugees’ home to Desa Banteng, both refugees from Adisucipto post and UKDW post (Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana).

2. The volunteers did community services in the houses of the refugees.

3. The clean water program is conducted in Banteng, Wukirsari and the surrounding areas.

1. GKI-Humanitarian Jogja conducted an aricultural worskhop in Desa Srumbung led by Prof. Christanti.

2. GKI-Humanitarian Jogja sprayed liquid fertilizer for 20 ha of farmlands to revitalize the people’s economy. (Paulus Lie)
